Sign in and Sign Up

Based on your Single Sign-on (SSO) settings, you may have one or both of these pages disabled, or be redirected to your own external page. Talk with your Blue Sky representative for more information.

Your participants gain access to Path content by filling out the Sign Up page, then using the newly created credentials to Sign In.

Getting There

There are two different ways to get to the Sign In page:

From the Main Navigation page

From the webinar page by clicking Sign In

Webinar Page

When new participants Sign up from the webinar page, they are directed to a different page to complete the rest of the form, then redirected back to the webinar.

Sign In Page

The Sign In is where participants use credentials to access Path. Enter credentials to proceed.

Sign in Overview

Your account settings will dictate whether participants log in with a username or email.

Sign Up Page

The Sign up page contains required information, along with custom registration questions, and options for groups.

Required fields are always marked with an asterisk as shown below.

The following information is required in order to sign up. These are the basic questions by default. However you can also add custom registration questions.

First Name
Last Name
Email
Password

Username and custom registration questions may also be required depending on configuration settings.

Creating Custom Registration Questions

You can create custom multiple choice and open-ended questions for your participants to fill out when signing up.

Navigate to the Admin tab, click the Users category, and select Registration Questions as shown below.

From here, you can create custom questions by clicking the Add Questions button on the right.

Creating Multiple Choice Questions

To create a multiple choice question, select Multiple Choice from the drop-down combo box, and create the question as shown below.

Question Type

Select the question type as Multiple Choice or Open Ended Question from the drop-down list.

Write the question here.

Answer Options

Enter all possible options for the question here.

Add Another Answer Option

Click to add another answer field.

Display Format

Allow participants to select one answer, or more than one by selecting the appropriate selection from the drop-down.

Required

You can make the answer optional, or you can make it a requirement for sign up.

After you’ve created your question, click Save and Close and your question will be displayed in the Custom Questions column.

Creating Open-Ended Questions

Open-ended questions allow your participant to respond to your question with any answer. Select Open Ended Question from the drop-down combo box, and create your question as shown below.

After you’ve created your question, click Save and Close and your question will be displayed in the Custom Questions column.

Predefined Questions

You can also enable Predefined Questions from the list in the left as shown below. From this column, you can enable user profile questions, as well as group questions by clicking the checkbox.

User Profile Questions

This set of predefined questions deal with preferences and settings.

Timezone Settings

Maps selected timezone to the profile.

Language Preference

Applies language settings to the profile

Location Question

Applies location settings to the profile.

Allow Users to Change Answers

Allows your participants to edit the answers in profile settings after submission.

Select the checkbox and the predefined question will appear on the sign up page after updating the settings.

Group Questions

These questions only apply if your account uses groups.

Along with user profile questions, you can also include questions related to group permissions as shown below. After you enable the question you can edit it by clicking the Settings button.

Enter the question text related to your groups.

Allow the selection of groups.

Allow multiple select

Allow participants to select multiple options.

After editing is complete, click the Save & Close button to apply your changes.

Access Code Question

You can also enable an access code question during sign up. Access codes are created for different groups under Group Settings as shown below.

To enable access questions, select the option from the Predefined Questions list, and edit the question as shown below.

Is Access Code Required for Sign Up?

Click the checkbox to make the access code required during sign up.

If you enable this feature, participants will not be able to sign up without the code.

After editing is complete, click the Save & Close button to apply your changes.

Reordering and Editing Custom Questions

Custom questions can be reordered by grabbing the handle as shown in the image below.

After you are done adding your custom questions, it’s important that you select the Update Settings button from the Predefined Questions section as shown below.
